My experiences as a kid exploring the swamps and barrier marshes of Louisiana seeded my connection to the natural world. That connection continued to grow into my adolescence and adulthood through travel and exposure to the magnificent wonders this one-and-only Earth has to offer. Since I’ve become a parent, that connection has evolved into a deep sense of responsibility to protect what we have for kids and all future generations. When I’m not volunteering for CCE, I’m riding bikes, hiking, or enjoying the beach with my kids, nurturing within them a sense of awe and responsibility for nature.
